Did you know that The Okee Dokee Brothers are going to be playing a kids’ concert at the Central Library onSaturday, August 22 at 2pm? Did you know the Okee Dokee Brothers are Denver natives? It’s true! Joe Mailander and Justin Lansing grew up in Denver, but their music has taken them far.
The Okee Dokee Brothers have two adventure albums. What’s an adventure album? It’s a collection of songs that are directly inspired by a particular place or experience. They have released two adventure albums, and they'll be playing music from both of these albums at the concert. Their third adventure album, which took place in several western states, including Colorado, will be out next spring!
Their first album, Can You Canoe?: A Mississippi River Adventure, was written while Joe and Justin took a 30-day canoe trip down the Mississippi River starting in Lake Itasca, Minnesota.
